Danville Light Opera plans youth musical auditions
Posted by: Commercial-News at 3:10PM EST on May 9, 2008

Local youth are invited to be a part of Danville Light Opera’s summer production of “The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad.”

Auditions will be at 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday, May 18-19 at DLO’s Center Stage in the Village Mall (next to Steve & Barry’s). It is the intention of the production team to be able to cast everyone who auditions.

DLO’s Youth Musical is open to any student ages 8–17. A parent or other responsible adult must accompany every student to the audition. Those wishing to audition should be prepared to sing a vocal selection (an accompanist will be provided). You will also read from the provided scripts. A copy of the script is available for review in the Danville Public Library.

“The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad” will be presented at 7 p.m. July 25-26 and at 2 p.m. July 27 at the DACC Bremer Center Auditorium.

DLO’s production of “The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad” will be directed by Amanda Coutant, with musical direction by Jamey Coutant.  For more information about Danville Light Opera, visit our website at www.danvillelightopera.com or call 431-1660.
