The Red Mask Players and Red Mask Children’s Theatre extend an open call for directors for the upcoming 72nd season. Applications, including additional details about director responsibilities, are available at http://www.redmaskplayers.com and must be received by July 7.

Adult plays are: “On Golden Pond,” Nov. 7-9, 14-16, and 21–22; “Moon Over Buffalo,” Jan. 16 -18, 23-25, and 30–31; and “Over the River and Through the Woods,” March 20-22, 27-29, and April 3-4.

Children’s shows are “Dr. Doolittle,” Sept. 19-20, and “Doc Doc Goose Goose,” May 11-16.

Auditions will be held at the Kathryn Randolph Theater, 601 N. Vermilion St. for grades 3-8.

All shows, both adult and children’s, rehearse for about eight weeks.

Copies of the scripts for both adult and children’s shows are available at the Danville Public Library for in-library reading only.

Applications must be postmarked by July 7. Prospective directors will be invited to interview with the Red Mask Players Board, which will select the directors for the season.

The fall show will be “Dr. Doolittle” by Patrick Rainville Dorn. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. July 28 and 29. Performances will be Sept. 19-20.

The spring show will be “Doc Doc Goose Goose” by Olga Fricker. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. March 22 and 23 at 7:00 p.m., with performances May 11-16.
