The Alley Gallery, 113 N. Vermilion St., will hold an artist’s reception for Queue McMillan from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23.

McMillan’s work, currently on exhibit in the gallery, features more than 250,000 artfully arranged sequins. She will be at the reception to answer questions and discuss her technique.

The Alley Gallery is at the back of Crose Insurance. Enter through the front door or the gallery door located on the west side of the alley behind the Vermilion Street building.

Danville Show Chorus of Sweet Adelines will have its annual Christmas luncheon and program at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6 at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Franklin St.

Tickets are $15. The meal will be catered with a variety of items on the buffet. An auction is planned with all the proceeds from the luncheon and auction going to local charities.
