The Boys & Girls Club is hosting a variety of seminars for all teen students in the community that addresses ways to be successful in school including helpful homework tips, transition activities and extracurricular clubs.
The seminars will at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug, 29 at the club. Following the seminars will be a party for teens only (6th – 12th grades) to be held from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. Admission is free and students must bring a school I.D. There will be free food, live music and a school supply giveaway.
Both events are held in conjunction with the ‘SHINE!’ program, which is a service-oriented program that teaches valuable character and citizenship skills to youth, while at the same time engaging them in fun-filled service projects.
