DHS class of 1956 plans reunion

Danville High School class of 1956 will have a mini reunion at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the De Coral Buffet, 3355 N. Vermilion St.
Help raise money for DHS

Danville residents will have the opportunity to earn money for Danville High School by test driving a new Ford vehicle.
For every participant who takes an all-new Flex, or a new Focus, Edge or other Ford vehicle for a spin during the Cruise 4 UR School event Saturday, Ford Motor Co. and Courtesy Ford Lincoln Mercury will donate $20 (up to a total of $6,000) to DHS.
Additionally, DHS will sponsor a car wash at Courtesy Ford Lincoln Mercury to raise extra funds.
To participate. interested individuals should visit Courtesy Ford Lincoln Mercury at 231 W, Main St between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.

DACC offers 'The Bible as Literature' course

Danville Area Community College will offer a three-credit hour course on the topic, “The Bible as Literature,” from 6-8:40 p.m. beginning Aug. 21.
The instructor will be Rev. Roland Brown.

Northeast sets registration

Northeast Elementary Magnet School’s registration will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 -7 p.m. Thursday at the school.
Parents may call the school at 444-3050 for more information. The first day of school at Northeast is July 28.
DACC sponsors College for Kids

Danville Area Community College will hold College for Kids 2008 this summer.
Class sessions will be July 14-July 25.
Classes are geared for students who are entering 3rd grade and have reached their 8th birthday through those entering into 8th grade or who are no older than 16 years of age.
Classes included: Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Computers, Foreign Language, Job Skills, Music, Science, Special Interest, Sports, Sports Camps, and Family Fun Day Trips.

DHS 1963-64 class reunion planned

Reservations are being taken for the Danville High School classes of 1963 and 1964 reunion July 18-19.
The July 18 casual get-together has been changed to 7 p.m. at the Deluxe Restaurant, 21 W. North St.
The golf outing will be July 19 at the Turtle Run Golf Club and Banquet Center, 332 W. Liberty Lane. To participate in the golf, outing contact Ed Bath at 443-1781 or Jerry Ingrum for details.
The July 19 DHS tour will begin at 11 a.m. and the banquet will begin at 6 p.m. CDT July 19 at the Beef House Restaurant near Covington, Ind.

DHS class of 1988 plans 20-year reunion

The Danville High School class of 1988 will have its 20-year reunion July 26 at Turtle Run Banquet Center, 332 E. Liberty Lane.
The cost is $40 per person and details can be found at www.DanvilleHigh1988.com. Events are planned for the entire weekend.
